Herne Bay High School is looking for reliable and professional Exams Invigilators to join our friendly exams team and help ensure our students have a calm, fair and supportive environment in which to complete their examinations.

This is a casual, seasonal role, making it ideal for people looking for flexible work around other commitments. Exams take place at various points throughout the academic year, with the main examination period usually running from May to June, alongside internal examinations and other assessment periods, from November.

No previous experience as an Exams Invigilator is required – full training will be provided.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Exams Invigilator, you will help ensure examinations are conducted fairly and in accordance with the relevant regulations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising students during internal and external examinations.
• Ensuring exam conditions and regulations are maintained at all times.
• Creating a calm, focused and positive examination environment.
• Providing appropriate support and guidance to students within examination regulations.
• Assisting with the preparation, distribution and collection of examination materials.
• Supporting with exam room set-up and pack-down where required.
• Working as part of a team to ensure examinations run smoothly.
