Fajita Throwdown Cooking Competition

The Food Technology department were proud to hold their annual Key Stage 3 Fajita Throwdown cooking competition this week, where students were asked to recreate their favourite Fajita with a filling of their choice. Our Cooks in the final faced one last challenge to determine who will be crowned the Golden Spoon award. All students that took part in the throwdown, unleashed their culinary skills to produce one last showstopper.

Meet the phenomenal finalists who cooked their way to the top:

Year 7: Olivia, Isla, Dixson, Layla, Hatty, Kardelen, Henry, Jack, Sofia, Lexi, George and Ashley
Year 8: Emilia, Phoebe and Toby
Year 9: Darcey and Jasmine

The winners were:

Year 7: 1st Prize - Henry W with Jack B, 2nd Prize - Isla J, 3rd Prize - George B.
Year 8: 1st Prize - Emilia K, 2nd Prize - Phoebe, 3rd Prize - Toby C.
Year 9: 1st Prize - Darcey S, 2nd Prize - Jasmine W.
