At Herne Bay High School, we believe that every student, regardless of their starting point, talent or ability, deserves the opportunity to succeed. Today’s GCSE results represent an important springboard for our students as they take their next steps, whether that is joining the vast majority who will continue their education in our Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Sixth Form, moving on to another educational setting, or beginning a training or apprenticeship programme.
Today’s results are a testament to the dedication, determination, commitment and ambition demonstrated by our Year 11 students throughout their time at Herne Bay High. They should be incredibly proud of all they have accomplished, and we hope they feel as delighted with their results as we do.
Many of our students have achieved the very highest GCSE grades of 7, 8 and 9, with particular congratulations to Tyler, Jessica and Harry, who each achieved a fantastic set of results.
We are equally proud of the students who have worked exceptionally hard and made outstanding progress from their individual starting points. The full list is far too large to mention, but special congratulations go to them all their exceptional achievements.
HBHS Principal, Mr Boyes, said:
“For the ninth and final time for me, it is a pleasure to say how proud I am of our students and of the way the majority have approached their GCSEs this year. For these students, their results reflect the dedication, resilience and commitment they have shown throughout their time at Herne Bay High. They truly deserve the exciting opportunities that now lie ahead.
I was thrilled to see so many of our Year 11 students attending the post-16 induction in July, and we can now look forward to supporting many of them for another two years at Herne Bay High. We are once again delighted to welcome a record number of students into our Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Sixth Form, where I have no doubt, they will continue to build on this success.
For those moving on to college, apprenticeships or other pathways, I wish them every success and happiness in the next stage of their journey. We look forward to seeing many of them return as proud alumni to share their stories and inspire the next generation of Herne Bay High students.”
Our Year 11 students have achieved an excellent set of examination results, and we are immensely proud of their accomplishments. Beyond their academic success, they have grown into confident, capable and resilient young adults during their time at Herne Bay High School.
Through their involvement in sport, the visual and performing arts, charitable activities and community service, our students have developed valuable life skills, demonstrated their talents and made a meaningful contribution to school life and the wider community.
Today is a moment to celebrate not only their examination results, but also the young people they have become. We are incredibly proud of every member of Year 11 and wish each of them every success, happiness and fulfilment as they take their next steps.
Well done, Year 11 – you have done yourselves, your families and Herne Bay High proud!
