Herne Bay High School is a large hugely successful Single Academy Trust that serves the Herne Bay coastal area of North Kent. We have a comprehensive intake and are significantly oversubscribed in all year groups and in June 2022 Ofsted rated the school good with an Outstanding 6th form provision

Whilst academic rigour and examination success is at the forefront of our development, we passionately believe that a broad, balanced approach to education is important and as such we place great emphasis on the Creative and Performing Arts, Technology, and Sport as a key part of a young person’s early educational journey. Cleaner

£12.10 per hour making annual salary approximately £5,950

We are looking to employ cleaners to our extremely busy cleaning team to work a combination of shifts. The available working hours are Monday-Friday 3.15-5.15pm 10 hours per week, term time plus 6 weeks. £12.10 per hour making annual salary approximately £5,950 depending upon number of hours worked. Minibus Drivers

£15 per hour

We are seeking to appoint Casual Minibus Drivers to facilitate with school trips and transport to and from sporting fixtures. The successful candidates will have D1 category on their driving licence without 101 restriction and due to insurance restrictions must be aged between 21 and 70, holding a licence for at least 4 years. Teacher of Maths

The Maths department at Herne Bay High School is central to our commitment to ensure high quality numeracy skills across the curriculum. In particular, we have embedded several innovative strategies to improve student progress in numeracy and basic mathematics, including diagnostic teaching so no time is lost. We are seeking a highly-motivated and enthusiastic candidate who will, if suitably qualified, have the opportunity to teach across KS3 to KS5. The successful applicant will be joining a highly supportive and collaborative department.  We welcome applications from ECTs or from more experienced teachers who are looking to further develop their career. We are seeking a dynamic Teacher of French or Spanish to join our successful and developing Modern Foreign Languages department. The successful candidate will have experience of teaching languages across KS3 and KS4 and be happy to teach GCSE and beyond. Teacher of Science

Science is central to the school’s commitment to ensuring high quality learning across the curriculum. We have excellent Science facilities including eight specialist fully equipped labs, a large break out space and a dedicated computer area. Science is taught right through to year 13 with a significant take up in our outstanding 6th form. From September 2019 we have been delivering Science as discrete Physics, Chemistry and Biology lessons from year 7 upwards, with subject specific teams lead by experienced staff, all under the guidance of a Head of Science Faculty.
