On Friday 23rd January, Miss D’Angelo from the History Department, Miss Rahman from the RE Department and Mrs Sparks from the CASS team took 43 Year 7 students to Canterbury Cathedral. Students explored the Cathedral and deepened their understanding of key topics such as Thomas Becket and the importance of Canterbury as a centre for pilgrimage and Christianity in the Middle Ages. Our students showed exceptional curiosity, passion, and impeccable behaviour. Their enthusiasm was evident as they made meaningful connections between their classroom learning and the historical and religious significance of this local landmark.
It was a wonderful opportunity to bring the Humanities curriculum to life, and we are incredibly proud of how our Year 7s represented the school!
