On Friday, the Maths department were proud to present students with their certificates from the Junior Maths Challenge.
The Challenge is a 60-minute, multiple-choice paper which encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems. The problems on the Junior Mathematical Challenge are designed to make students think. Most are accessible, yet still challenge those with more experience.
All participants have received a certificate of participation. To recognise the highest performers in the Challenge, some students achieved Bronze, Silver and Gold Certificates. Congratulations to Daniel and Sienna who were best in school and best in year respectively. Also to Kyrah - who also achieved a Gold certificate. In total, the students achieved 22 Bronze, 7 Silver and 4 Gold Certificates.
