As staff and students at Herne Bay High School we are again celebrating our A Level and Level 3 outcomes, with students achieving excellent grades and many going on to top universities as well as taking vocational routes into their careers.
We are very proud of our students and their achievements: they have worked incredibly hard, and I would like to offer our heartfelt congratulations to them all. Families and our staff play a crucial role in the success of our Sixth Form, and I would like to thank everyone for their support and dedication to our students.
Whether our students are taking up University places, starting an apprenticeship, or pursuing a different pathway, we are all incredibly pleased and proud of them all.
Over 50% of our students are going to universities across the country including, Bath, Bournemouth, Brighton, Bristol, Canterbury Christ Church, Cardiff, Exeter, Kent, Leicester, London, Plymouth, Portsmouth, Sheffield, Southampton, Surrey, and Sussex. Students will be studying a range of courses including, Acting, Finance and Business, Drama, English Literature, Creative Writing, Film, Forensic Science, Geography, Graphic Design and Games Design, Interior Design, Marine Biology, Law, Mathematics, Physical Education, Psychology, and Sociology. We would also like to send a special congratulations to some of our outstanding Dance students who have gained places at many of the country's top Dance Schools and Conservatoires including LCDS, The Place, Trinity Laban Conservatoire and Bird College.
There are several students who have successfully secured apprenticeships in Architecture, Electrical Installation, Law, Aviation Engineering and Marine (Yachting) Engineering, as well as employment with local and national companies, such as EasyJet, HM Armed Forces, including the Royal Marines and Army. A student in our Football Academy has secured a football scholarship in the USA. Other students are opting for gap years or setting up their own businesses.
We would like to wish all our students every success as they prepare for their future and look forward to welcoming them back to school as alumni so they can share their journeys and inspire our younger students.
