Sixth Form Pathways Conference

Our annual Year 12, Post 16 pathways conference took place on Monday 24th March. We deliver this event to encourage our students to have curiosity and a positive mind set and an understanding if they focus and work hard, they can be what they want to be. We are always humbled by the speakers who give up their time to develop and expand the knowledge of our students.

Our keynote speaker Emmanuel Anthony from Aim A Little Higher talked about research and focus and building your dream.

Alumni returned to share their experiences on making the next big decision and what they wished they had done in Year 12 and as always, we are so grateful for their support and it is wonderful to see students return, talking about their stories and pathways and how they have grown and developed as people, and the influence their time at HBHS had on them.

Workshops included CV writing, understanding apprenticeships, understanding higher education, creative careers, writing a personal statement, gap year information and with Chris Targett RCDP finishing the afternoon with the infamous research timeline…using a good old fashion piece of rope and a tie.
