Our Sports Partnership team ran their annual Hockey tournament on Wednesday, which saw 50 teams and over 300 children from our local Primary Schools participate throughout the day.
Well done to all who took part and thank you so much to Herne Bay Hockey Club who allowed the Partnership to use their wonderful facilities.

There is a new and exciting opportunity for young people living in Kent to develop a Youth Mental Health Forum.
Kent County Council is collaborating with NELFT, who deliver NHS children and young people’s mental health services in Kent (CAMHS) and are looking for young people between 11 - 17 years old to help shape and influence mental health services and decisions, helping to improve mental health for young people in Kent.

Last Wednesday, our Year 12 psychologists took part in a webinar as part of British Science week on “The Science of Addiction”.
Students heard from a leading practitioner in the field of addiction treatment – Dr. Anne Lingford-Hughes – and her journey through medicine to psychiatry and addiction treatment. This was a fantastic opportunity, and students learnt about the university pathway to becoming a psychiatrist, in addition to addiction treatment, common misconceptions about the illness and Dr Lingford-Hughes’ own research

This morning Mr Buchanan and Mrs Sparks arranged a cooking session for our Young Carers, in conjunction with Tina from Imago Community. Students had the opportunity to cook either a Vegetable Stir Fry or Tomato Pasta Bake, under the instruction of Mrs Giles.
This inspiring session allowed students to take some time for themselves, whilst learning a valuable life skill which will help them in their caring responsibilities.
We'd like to thank Mr Buchanan and Mrs Sparks for all their hard work to make this session happen.

Tomorrow is International Women's Day, and to mark the occasion some of our wonderful creative students are taking part in several events.
Our A Level Artists have their work being shown as part of an exhibition at Beach Creative CIC, running until next Thursday, 13th March; whilst 20 of our Dance students will be teaming up with a group of 5 women to perform as part of the Power of Women event tomorrow, Saturday, at 13:30 at The Ark in Cliftonville.
